Nice hotel. Right off the I-40 30 minutes east of ABQ. They have a small pool with hot tub that was empty both times I went. The breakfast was very decent. The lady keeping up everything was terrific. Friendly and attentive. They had biscuits and gravy. Cereal. Waffles. Pancakes. Eggs and sausage. Among other breakfast foods. I hated the coffee but that's ok because it was free. Plenty of outside food options nearby too. I requested a bathtub in the room which was only available on the second floor which is their pet-friendly floor. Which was fine.

I stayed at this Comfort Inn & Suites for one night in Jan 2026 during a cross-country drive from Phoenix and was so pleasantly surprised by how clean this hotel was! This rest stop on my trip was actually the best hotel I stayed in out of the other two! Breakfast was served until 9am; waffles, sausage, fruit, eggs, etc. The only strange thing was the taste of the tap water in the room.. When brushing my teeth and rinsing, the water tasted salty/acidic? I tried to avoid using the tap and stuck to the filtered water I already had in my Stanley cup. Other than that, I'd stay here again.

After driving through the nightmare of Albuquerque , New Mexico at night I made it to Edgewood. This is the only hotel in town , but it looked better and had better reviews than the next town , Moriarty. I booked using Priceline to save a couple bucks and it was still $152 with taxes and fees. Some of the reviews of the Moriarty places stated about their cars being broken into , so I paid the extra to stay here because my SUV was loaded with my stuff and I had a hitch box on my rear bumper because I was moving from Las Vegas to Oklahoma. The employee that checked me in was very nice and he told me to park by the charging area under the solar panels with the RVs to be the safest area and well lit. There was one RV parked there , but in the morning there was 2 more , one with a boat. I had free breakfast in the morning with a few others and they had an older lady attendant that was making sure everything was stocked up and clean. Nice lady. It was funny the guys behind me mentioned how the eggs tasted like from the Army and me being a Veteran told them I agreed , they tasted like the reconstituted ones we had during maneuvers. The sausage patty was pretty plain so I put some pancake syrup on it , orange juice was watered down , biscuit was pretty good but gravy had some sausage bits but not very flavorful so lots of pepper I had to put on it. They had cereal and yogurt too and a waffle maker. There is also a coffee machine in the lobby 24 hours a day and also have hot tea. There was 2 or 3 computers for guests to use. I used that night for about 15 minutes for something I really couldn't do on my phone which was convenient. The parking lot was clean and well lit and appeared to be in a safe area. I went to the Subway just next door for a sandwich that night and they give you a discount for staying at the hotel , but it was the worst stale Subway sandwich I've ever had ! Now the room , first thing when I walked in the floor was sticky. It looked clean , but they must have mopped over a spilled soda or something. Other than that the beds were clean and made nice and the room looked like a Comfort Inn room with 2 queen beds , mini refrigerator , microwave , coffee pot with coffee and accessories. I got a regular room not a Suite so no couch or living room , but there was a chair. The next morning I took a shower and on the wall in 2 different places was a long black hair , way longer than mine and mine are unfortunately gray , but at 58 I still got more hair than guys I work with that are in there 30's ha ha. The rest of the bathroom was clean and came with some amenities. On the wall of the shower they have mounted body wash , shampoo , and conditioner that were a mint smell. Not bad , but not what I would pick , but hey I'm just traveling. I was on the 2nd floor and the elevator worked , but was a little shaky. All in all it's a pretty decent hotel , but I don't think it's worth $150.00 to stay here. I would say it should be around half the price , $75.00 a night. As I said the only reason I paid this was because I didn't feel safe staying in Moriarty with my vehicle loaded. They also have an indoor pool which I didn't use. I only stayed the one night and then back on the road.

What an amazing experience! We were traveling for Christmas and this was our half way stop and I have to say it won’t be the last time! A great festive stay with the nicest employees! One of the best breakfasts we have had a ton of options and everything was fresh and hot and I have to say the breakfast attendant really was the perfect ending to our experience. She was kind helpful and very attentive to spills and refilling, I hate I didn’t catch her name! Way to go Edgewood

Safe, well lit parking lot. Rooms were mostly clean. Some mold in the showers, floors in the bathroom were sticky, and the pillow covered were all stained. But if you just need a safe spot to layover, I would stay here again. Front desk staff was very friendly.

This is exactly what a no-frills hotel should be. Clean rooms, quiet at night, and everything works as expected. No unnecessary extras, just a comfortable and reliable place to stay. What really stood out to me was the sense of safety. The area felt calm and secure, and honestly safer than staying in Albuquerque. Parking was easy, the property was well lit, and I never felt uneasy coming or going. For the price, the value is excellent. If you’re looking for a straightforward, affordable stay where cleanliness, safety, and peace of mind matter more than luxury, this place delivers. I would absolutely stay here again.

After driving nonstop from Nashville toward Oakland for roughly 25 hours, stopping only for fuel, restrooms, and unavoidable holiday traffic delays, I finally had to pull over and get some sleep. I was completely exhausted. . I first stopped at a Best Western in Moriarty, NM around 10:30 AM. I explained my travel situation at the front desk and mentioned that I would be checking out later that same night, sometime between 10:00 PM and midnight, to continue my drive. I was told they had vacancies and rooms available for immediate check-in. The nightly rate was quoted, and I had no issue paying it. . I was then informed that an early check-in fee would be added at a rate of $10 per hour. Being roughly four hours early, this amounted to an additional $40, which was more than a third of the nightly rate. Given that I would be checking out later the same day, I thanked her and declined. . While I understand early check-in policies, this felt excessive under the circumstances and came across as an attempt to capitalize on obvious fatigue rather than offer reasonable accommodation. . I continued searching and found the Comfort Inn in Edgewood, NM. I called ahead and explained that I was beyond cooked after driving continuously for so long. The person I spoke with was Mandy. She was gracious, understanding, and immediately recognized that I needed rest. She confirmed availability and booked the room without hesitation. . When I arrived about fifteen minutes later, Mandy was just as kind in person. She checked me in quickly, gave a brief overview of the hotel and nearby food options, and thoughtfully placed me in a quiet room on the fourth floor at the end of the hall so I could rest without being disturbed. That decision alone showed how closely she listened and how intentionally she responded to my situation. . Her level of attentiveness was exceptional. This is not something you can teach. It is an intangible interpersonal skill, and it is incredibly valuable. Mandy provided hospitality in its purest form. She could easily run a hotel or an entire chain and be successful doing it. I truly hope Comfort Inn ownership and corporate leadership recognize just how valuable she is. If I owned a hospitality business, I would have offered her a job on the spot. . The hotel itself was very clean, and the room was updated and well maintained. I did not stay for breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. After getting some sleep, I spent about 45 minutes in the hot tub and pool. Both were very clean, and the hot tub was exactly what I needed before getting back on the road. . This was an outstanding experience, especially for a last-minute stop under tough circumstances. If you stay here, this is the level of hospitality you can expect. . Thank you Mandy and the Comfort Inn for making a difficult travel day much easier.
